New House!!!

We will be moved in by the end of the month at the latest, if everything goes as planned. three bedroom, two bathroom, on top of the hill in snow country. It's not totally secluded but we have privacy, it's a new subdivision and we cannot wait to get moved in!! here are some pictures.

So we haven't been on in a while, but we are building a new house and should be in to it by January! That's consuming our lives right now. But right after we move in, we plan on booking a trip to Idaho! We won't know the dates until probably a few days before, but we're coming soon!! Have a great Christmas!!

I cannot believe how fast time flies. Today is our 1 year anniversary, but it passed by so quickly! Shea surprised me BIG TIME by telling me he's buying me a 2011 GMC Terrain!! AKA my dream car! He's going to have a hard time topping anniversaries to come :)

Most of August we had Michelle and the girls up here hanging out with us. So much fun!! We love those girls. We're missing them already but we're pretty sure we will be down there in January so I can meet all of you :)

Sheas job is great. He is loving it. It will slow down around Novemeber until March. I go back to school tomorrow, which is both exciting and scary. And our summer is ending..

So long. Time goes so fast.

Sorry it's been a couple of months since I posted last. Not much is new here though. I got a new Canon Rebel for my birthday in a few weeks and I LOVE it! Shea is out at Port Heiden until the 13th :( I'm missing him very much. We got a new dirt bike!! We both love it. I'm starting to think we're adrenaline junkies.
Our 1 year anniversary is approaching quickly, on August 22nd, but I feel like we were married yesterday.
Looks like it will be awhile before we make it down there, but we're trying.

My little brother, Ryan. We almost lost him in a hitch-hike stabbing in July, so I've never been more grateful to have him. He's recovering really well.

((This picture is because I have been missing Shea SO SO SO much and I love remembering our wedding day. I CANNOT believe it's been almost 9 months since we tied the knot. Time goes by so fast but there is no one I would rather spend my time with than him.))

This summer is going to be a crazy one. Shea will be gone 99% of the time while I'm working 3 jobs to keep myself busy all summer. Also, I've been hunting for a piece of property/a house that we can get a great deal on, which is fun and keeping me a little busy. Something else very exciting, I am singing "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack on June 11th during the Cancer Walk luminary, where they light candles for all of those who have died from cancer. It's a big event and the first time I'm singing a new-age song in public so I am very honored and excited.

April is still snowy.

It feels like summer will never come up here!! As soon as the snow starts to melt, everyone wakes up with fresh snow on their porch. Winter is taking too long this year. We were planning for a while to go see everyone for Shea's birthday and stay until May 2nd, but we decided with our very hectic schedules that we just can't make it. Which is a bummer, because I'm dying to meet everyone!!

Shea just took off up the Inlet again for 5 days. They expect the weather to be alright, put pray for them. The Inlet is notorious for terrible weather.

So on Thursday, everyone woke up to three feet of snow at their front door and a blizzard, and Homer saw its first snow day!!! No one could believe it, but I was snowed in for three days because Shea just started working on my dad's freight barge again, so they were up Cook Inlet for 3 days.. So i stayed home scrapbooking, hanging out with my dogs and watching movies until he came home to bail me out. He's leaving again tomorrow (Wednesday) for 5 days! And the snow storm will not stop! This morning Toby (our basset hound) had his dog house 4 feet covered with snow. Needless to say, we're praying it stops so we can see spring sometime soon. Here are pictures!

Shea and I decided not to buy the house. We want to wait until we fall in love with a house and everything works out without any problems. So we're staying in our rental until we can build or buy.
We went to Ojai, California in the middle of February for my grandpa's funeral. It was a lot of fun! Shea wet with us two years ago for Spring Break, and met a lot of my big family, but this time he met even more. We took 15 people from Alaska to Cali. My mom had no idea so it was really fun to surprise her!!
We also have a new dog, Remi, who I will post pictures of. He's 2 1/2 and really loving and hopefully by the summer I will have more time to spend with him.

House Update :)

So our offer on the house was ACCEPTED! and we should be closing by the end of Feb/ beginning of March.
We are very very excited!
We also got another dog :) His name is Remi and he is absolutely adorable!

College and a House

So lately we've been extremely busy. I've been working two jobs and taking classes, working on my Elementary teaching degree, while Shea is working on getting the Assistant Manager position at the tire shop. And we've both been making house plans! At first we wanted to build a house, but we just checked out a remodeled house that we really liked, so we're making an offer on it next week! We are both extremely excited. As are Carol and Lynn.
We don't have pictures or anything, but if we get the house I will post pictures asap :)

New Years and New Goals.

So our New Years was extremely fun! We have a tradition; every year we go to Caribou Lake on our snow machines with my cousins and hundreds of other people, and we set off 4 hours of fireworks!! It was fabulous!
2010 also means a lot of work for us to do. I start classes on Monday to start on my Elementary Ed. degree, (it was really great to take a Semester off and get grounded first), and Shea has decided he wants to go back to work for my dad asap so we can get in to a house this summer. Our 2010 goals: *get a house, *get Shea a new car, *get another dog so Toby (our adorable basset hound) has a friend to play with. and *make tons of money by winning the lottery :)

Well, Shea and I are still working hard. Unfortunately I've found out that working at an Elementary School is like swimming in a petre dish. I've been sick for 6 days now! Hoping to feel better soon.
We're having tons of fun with our first Christmas together, and hopefully I will figure out how to use Blogspot soon so we can talk to everyone!
